We Are All Guilty Here by Karin Slaughter - Release Date 08/12/25

Welcome to North Falls—a small town where everyone knows everyone. Or so they think.

Until the night of the fireworks. When two teenage girls vanish, and the town ignites.

For Officer Emmy Clifton, it’s personal. She turned away when her best friend's daughter needed help—and now she must bring her home.

But as Emmy combs through the puzzle the girls left behind, she realizes she never really knew them. Nobody did.

Every teenage girl has secrets. But who would kill for them? And what else is the town hiding? HarperCollins.com

This is the first installment in Karin Slaughter’s new North Falls series and she quickly draws you into Officer Emmy Clifton’s world in this rural small-town in Atlanta.  I am a huge fan of her Will Trent series and wasn’t sure I was ready for a new protagonist, but I was instantly taken with Officer Emmy Clifton and can’t wait for the next installment.  Slaughter is a master at creating well-developed characters who are both loveable and flawed as well as her world building but her books aren’t for the faint of heart as she doesn’t hold back in the descriptions of the brutalities of crime.  We Are All Guilty Here is a shining example of Slaughter’s talents sure to please her many fans and new readers alike.

We Are All Guilty Here will be released on Tuesday 08/12/2025 but you can pre-order now at your local book store.  I was fortunate enough to win my Advanced Reader Copy through Booktrovert by Netgalley.  Visit their site for more information on how you too can win early releases of new books.  For more information on Karin Slaughter and her book tour, visit her website.
