Laydown Lowdown

Decisions, decisions...there are a lot of choices to make today.  Not just choices at the election polling booth but the ever important choice of which new book(s) to read this week.

Rachel Caine bids farewell to Claire Danvers and her "Morganville Vampire" friends in "Daylighters,"  the 15th and final book in the series.  Other new releases in Young Adult include: "Infinity," by Andria Buchanan,  "Curtsies & Conspiracies," by Gail Carriger, "Contagion," by Tim Lebbon," "Champion," the conclusion to Marie Lu's "Legend" trilogy, and "Cold Spell," by Jackson Pearce.

Over in Romance, you'll find "Colter's Gift," by Maya Banks, "A Feast of Souls," by Hailey Edwards, "Because We Belong," by Beth Kery, and "Christmas on Main Street," by Joann Ross, "Healing Touch," by Jayne Rylon, and "Rumor Has It," by Jill Shalvis.

Hop on by Mystery and say "Merry Christmas, Alex Cross," by James Patterson.  Other new mysteries and thrillers today include "Words With Fiends," by Ali Brandon, "The Dinosaur Feather," by S.J. Gazan, "Death of a Nightingale," by Leen Kaaberbol, and "The Minor Adjustment Beauty Salon," by Alexander McCall Smith.

Scoot over to Science Fiction/Fantasy for the 6th "Blood Singer" novel, "To Dance With the Devil," by Cat Adams plus "Iron Winter" by Stephen Baxter, "Limit," by Frank Schatzing, "Royal Airs," by Sharon Shinn, and "Burning Paradise," by Robert Charles Wilson.
